From Edinburgh, With Love

Aye, I'm up in Scotland for the very first time, and damn if Edinburgh isn't exactly the same as London... Only with prettier buildings... and a coast.

Saw 'Goering's Defence' earlier today. A one man show depicting the final hours of Hitler's second in command. Powerful, emotional, frightening and sad. A magnificent actor, who stumbled but twice in an hour long performance, covering up very well. I'm going to see it again on Thursday night.

Then, there was much wandering around Edinburgh, looking for shows to go to, finding shows to go to, only to be rudely denied; they're all Sold Out.

Beer is, once more, foul. I need a new alcoholic beverage of choice. Like beer, only nice. Recommend to me.

So, my partner in crime gave up The Search, went to the hostel (£13 a night; tasty) to sleep. But I, being of Brave Mind and Sleep-Deprived Body, went out again, roaming these streets like they were my own. And stumbled across the place that has Ricky Grover, 'Who's The Guv'nor' at 10:45 tonight. Spec-tac-u-lar! Cue another half hour of wandering aimlesly, guided only by the Black Stone Rocket rising up into the heavens, and I find an Interweb Café in my path. Time to update that pesky online diary!

Also, bought 'The Authority: Earth Inferno and Other Stories'. Meh. Some funky ideas, executed in a bit of a rush. Nice art by Chris Weston in half of it though.

I must leave this place, to roam Scotland's capital in the pitch pitch black; must relearn those streets from the bright day time. Ricky Grover!
