About Mega Sad Productions

Mega Sad Productions is a web-site design company founded by Caleb Newcastle in the spring of 1998.

Its first client was Caleb Newcastle himself. He wanted a database of sorts for his ever-growing comic-book collection, so that he could keep track of them all. However, his PC had been totally screwed up a few months before and he'd been forced to wipe the hard-disk clean. In doing this he unfortunately lost all his database programs. Not daunted by this seemingly insurmountable difficulty, Caleb remembered the X-net CD he had bought a few weeks before. Although it was the picture of Jo Guest on the cover that had drawn his eye, this CD was probably one of the best investments he had ever made. For not only were there many a picture of the delightful Miss Guest digitised upon its shiny surface, but also hundreds of web-sites from all over the world. Combined with the free copy of Internet Explorer 3.0, this CD allowed Caleb access to a source of web-site examples it would have taken him weeks to collect by himself. On May 3rd 1998, Caleb opened the source code for the Third Mall From The Sun; a web-site dedicated to the great-late Bill Hicks. From this humble beginning Caleb worked out the basic code he would need to create his own web-site. And the rest is History.

Mega Sad Productions' second client was The School. For them Mega Sad Productions built The HomePage. Built for one house in particular, this site was a major improvement over the old one, and will soon be accessible via The School website.

Mega Sad Productions' third client was a friend of mine, Colin Jackson. He plays a computer game called Jedi Knight and had built a site which had extra skins and levels etc. for said game. However, the site design was total crap. So I redesigned the whole thing for him, adding another site to Mega Sad Productions' credits. The site is called the UK Jedi Academy.

Mega Sad Productions' latest client is another friend of mine, Michelle Harries. She wanted to compile a load of stuff about all her friends so that when she's ancient she can look back and remember them all. A few people suggested it be made into a website. I offered to build it. And it was borne! At the moment there's only a few pages up, but the whole thing's gonna be properly launched by January 14th, 2000. The site is called freaks.
