On account of this thing was being spammed to death, I have removed the ability to post new comments and simply leave this up as a record of what people once said. If you would like, you can still contact me via caleb@megasad.com.

In response to Maria's post, from many months ago, I shall be listing a whole bunch of comics on eBay, just as soon as they have their next free listing day. You can email me beforehand if you want to buy from me directly.

María Laura

hi... i'd like to know how to order one of the books... if you can, please answer back

31 July 2004 at 23:38

Caleb Newcastle

In response to Martyn; nope, haven't a clue who you are.

Anyway, the new Thundercats comics are published by WildStorm Productions. The shop I used to frequent before moving to London, Fanboy Comics, will be able to supply you with both the individual issues and the collections.

As far as original Thundercats comics from the 80s are concerned, JanIan Comics is who Robert mentioned, but I have no experience with them myself.

If you want episodes of the actual cartoon, search on eBay for "thundercats dvd." At the moment, there is an auction for a 7 DVD set, containing "all 130 episodes," which is nice.

BraveStarr has not received the same revival treatment as Thundercats, so all I know of is this one video, plus a few Ladybird books, you can find on Amazon. No comics that I ever saw.

I used to have a Skull Rider toy, a Ladybird book, and I used my Tex Hex figure in my Dr Pepper advertisement that I made for my Media Studies AS Level...

I've avoided this 80s nostalgia thing so far... Bad 80s nostalgia; beat it with sticks.

In response to Martyn (i sent him a mail anyway, but you know...)

I got a load from a company called JanIan that also sell computer manuals.

Fanboy in Bradwell does occasionally too. New ones, mind, like Hammerhands Revenge, The Return, etc.

26 July 2004 at 19:57

Martyn Thompson

hey, don't know if ud remember me from school or not, but dont suppose u know where i can get thundercats or bravestar comics / videos?

In response to what Opey said, I update the site as and when I get new comics, though sometimes not for a few weeks after that happens. I also eat and sleep a lot. Bye.

27 May 2004 at 01:35

Opey

I stumbled upon your site, actually, while loking up Juan Alcantara. I have an original sketch by him that he drew for me at a convention and I didn't even know who he was. I recently found it and tried to discover what comics he was a part of. Your site is pretty extensive, how often do you update?

Tess

Oooh... my brain melted and slowly i came to the realisation that i haven't looked you up in aaages. cool site, but everyone says that and its loses meaning. still desperately trying to stay in contact with people whilst holding onto the few remaining shreds of my sanity. those who know me and check this site mail me sometime! keep smilin' Tess xXx

For all those wishing to buy the comics detailed in this site, your best bet would be to find your local comic shop using http://www.the-master-list.com/. Go visit them, set up a standing order, and the comics shall be yours.

I am wondering if I am able to order comics such as nightmares and fairy tales. If not where can I find them. Please contact me with any information. Thanks Jennifer

Wake up.
Remember that peice of shit school you used to go to? No? Well - I'm sure you do.
Things there have got really bad... For Example. Year Tens are made to go into the Gym, Every morning at registration. Mr Porteus (yeah, he was ok - until he became KS4 manager, then he turned into a total cunt!) makes us line up in straight lines in silence. Then dismisses us.
WHAT THE FUCK!?
You get detentions if your shirt is untucked, if your ties loose... You can't wear any other symbol thats not religious. You have to help man. It sucks here.
Shohan thought it was bad when he went there!!
0_o
Anyway, I'm not allowed on their computers any more, apparently I was hacking onto the county server or something like that. Maybe I was. So what if I was...!

Fuck. Standards have dropped. The schools a prison. bottled drinks cost £0.90 YOU CAN ONLY BUY DIET DRINKS
and they have carconegens in....
CALEB!!! PLEASE!!!!

At long last, I have finally fashioned a guest book to be run out of my own domain; line breaks have returned. Hoo-hah.

8 April 2003 at 03:54

Caleb Newcastle

Hoo-hah for not being able to do line breaks in this foolish guest book. I really should get around to setting my own one up in my domain, seeing as I've had the damn thing since August last year. One day.

8 April 2003 at 03:41

Caleb Newcastle

Figured I'd better reply to all the questions people have asked me in this here guest book. Else you might get the impression that I don't actually bother with this thing. Which would only be next door to the truth. So. #1, No Sandman comics because I don't own any. Comic Book Library is just stuff I own now, has been since Version 6. #2, Freaks Webshite will return one day. #3, A link button, 88x31 pixels in dimension, is available at the bottom of the links page. #4, 'Chicken that lays eggs,' and, 'the thing which makes things white,' are close, but no cigar. I asked my dad, it's not a precise translation of the Arabic, so that's where the confusion comes in. Plus, I don't now remember what he said it did mean. But close. #5, Victor, and anyone for that matter; if you feel like writing a synopsis of any of the books in this library, please feel free to do so. Email me them and, should they be the good stuff, I shall include them, with the appropriate credit given of course. #6, I kick arse. Hoo-hah. #7, Another good reason to avoid America's Wang. #8, What's sad about Caleb Newcastle's Sad and Obsessive Comic Book Library, and all of megasad.com for that matter? Um... That I like short-shorts?

3 April 2003 at 20:58

Jennifer

What's sad about it?

I'm pretty lazy when it comes to typing so I'll make it short: everything you have created kicks ass. No need to explain, it just does. May I suggest getting around to filling in them there (very nice, I know:) ) reviews on the comics. Sorry about the disease you have, that sucks. hmm that wasn't very short was it. Well toodles my friend

12 February 2003 at 01:42

Again?! AGAIN?!?!?

Eh up, chuck! I 'ave many hobbies, like reading comics. Like you, Mr. Sad 'n' Obsessive. Me favourites are Marvel, 'specailly Spindleman 'n' Betman. Though me current favourite is Chris the Jammy Lefteri, have you read it? I believe that it is the finest comment on weird non-smiling Product Designing Tutor blokes that you will ever see... Okay, a webshite will exist soon for this comic I hear. So I will keep yer posted! From, Senor Rankos Beefy-Burger Burp.

Mysterious Donor

HA HA! I am only THE MYSTERIOUS DONOR. I have many mysterious things up my scrunched-up-neck-esque sleeve. Like a mysterious sand beaver - just what the frig is it? WE don't know, mysteriously... And my other mysterious items include, a mysterious Gir robot and a truely mysterious poster of David Dickenson naked, his mysterious modesty only covered by a bleary eyed teddy bear-bear. Oh, yes, I am that mysterious. MYSTERIOUS! Mysterious... If you are desperate to uncover my mysterious identity feel free to bombard me with emails... YES! You can email me, that's how mysterious I am. Anything mysterious, or cooked-by-you-inserted-in-to-me ish... Awaiting your mysterious messages, my little hormonally-unbalanced patent leather envelope-licking Frenchman; who is naked-underneath-that-furry-long-coat... Pervert.

Sami the insomniac

I can't sleep, and I am currently re-visiting every website I have ever been to... Why? I don't rightly know, but I can tell you that I am currently listening to Vib-Ribbon music... This music is so damn cheesy. This probably isn't a good idea since I have an exam tomorrow, and while I will be attempting to partially differentiate, all that will be going 'Ladies and Gentlemen, Ladies and Gentlemen, Ladies and Gentlemen, Ladies and Gentlemen, Ladies and Gentlemen, Ladies and Gentlemen, Stop now, Stop now, Love and Peace, Stop Now, Stop Now, Love and Peace, Yo the beats are strong, Yo the beats are strong but the night is long.... I think I have made my point. Good night.

6 November 2002 at 01:51

The Vib-Ribbed & King Sami of Snaku

Did you know?! It's Arabic for 'Chicken that lays eggs' and 'the thing which makes things white'! Just thought you might like to know!

Hey I just read your review of Preacher #66 where I'm quoted as saying 'No. 66 sucked and you know it'.

I'd like to point out that I'm not the one who said that. I think you have me confused with someone else.

17 April 2002 at 22:14

Shell - again

Just confused - why no Sandman comics? Thought you liked them...

Hey - that proves that I've actually read some of the site too, doesn't it? Ain't that impresive ;-)

17 April 2002 at 22:08

Hey Sim, great to hear from you again. The site looks great, and I prefer the bigger text. Ummm, How're you doing and all? You're not really all that forthcoming in those periodic emails you send out. But then again, they is great fun to read, so it's not like I'm complaining or anything...

Anyway, just to show how obediant I am, here I am signing your guestbook. And I'm the second one to do so, as Dav beat me to it :-(

Where's all the porn? You could at least give out better examples of what you don't collect anymore!
One more thing, most sites that were designed for other browsers don't crash my Netscape 3.0.....I refuse to "upgrade"!!!
Still a pretty nice site tho, thanks! :o)

3 September 2000 at 20:36

Caleb Newcastle

No you don't. Yes I do, but it annoys me and so I avoid it. He did, though he wasn't my best mate on account of me not having a best mate. I am not ugly, geeky or a greebo. I did. Not anymore. In the interests of truth. I don't have a dufflecoat. I washed my hair last night and it is exceptionally shiny. If you do see me later it will only be because you're stalking me. Fuckwit.

3 September 2000 at 18:19

You think i would tell you

I know you, you dont have any girls that will strip off in front of you. Your best mate got expelled for being a freak who carries a fuck off knife. You are an ugly, geeky, grebo who has never had, or will have a girlfriend. Furthermore, why admit to having so much porn, you filty cretin. Your dufflecoat needs a wash and so does you hair, see you later.

The name of your site caught my attention! It is very amusing and well done. My friends and I have an obsessive problem with anime so I do understand, trust me. Don't call it a sad obsession! Revel in it!
Your graphic art is very good, why don't you try to get a job doing that? Really, I"m not kidding. My husband is a graphic artist and he likes your stuff so far :)

Well, someday I'llhave another website up which is not about my fan fic when I do I'll post it up here as it will be anime related.

Good luck with your art! Your humor rocks too!

People who don't use IE5 in 1024x768 are fools. Over 6250 hits... someone's visiting. Sure it is. It makes you sad? Have you not read the title? Outside's scary. I think I'll stay in my room for another few years. And, to repeat what I said somewhere else, so what if I am? What's your point?

21 June 2000 at 06:18

You are gay

Blah! Blah!

So unkewl man.

21 June 2000 at 05:52

Happy (website)

A friend of mine said a related site was crap, and it was. So is this. You may think the design is cool, but it's bollocks for everybody not with your screen/browser size. The whole site design is such a mish-mash of pointless, nerdy stuff, I can't believe that anybody would bother visiting. And is the contents of the XXX page really stuff you want to publically reveal? This whole site is a shrine to dull geekery. It makes me very sad. Outside is a big place. Visit it some time, but not at outside.com.

Good day to you.
Happy.

Cool website! Impressive comic collection/knowledge!!!
How do you have time for anything else?
What else are you into?
Anyway, I'm vaguely into some popular children-orientated comics... I'm too embaressed to tell you which, but I'm sure you'll probably guess with your extensive knowledge of comics. Hmmm...
Japanese comics are the coolest... though they generally tend to have a more sexist inclination. Do you know Doraemon? Or Ranma?
Later,
Jenny

Howdy once again, Caleb! Just dropped by while I was checking and cleaning the links from my site... You redesigned some of this place again, din'tcha? It gets better all the time (and my browser didn't even bellyache over anything this time).
I took your advice and have been streamlining everything of mine: most of the pages now load up three times faster and the storage dropped about 25%. Thanks a lot!
I have your latest site banner up and continue to recommend your place to visitors. Have fun and take care!

Thanks for getting back to me by e-mail! I'm trying out your Guestbook again, so here goes nothin'. I like your site design and graphics a lot. I've linked to you from my all-versions Dirty Pair site, which attempts to cover the Japanese novels, the '80s and '90s anime, and (of course) the comix. I've attached the regular Geocities Tokyo URL, instead of the cute Geoplus URL that some browsers seem to be baffled by. So see if you can get in the front door now. Have fun and take care!

This guestbook ain't been working for a while now. And you can't sign it from the page I built for it in the library. The only way to sign the guestbook is to first choose to view it, and to then click on the "sign the guestbook" link. And then everything's hokey! Bye bye!

Yay! I managed to view this website in Netscape. A Big round of applause all over for having no life and lots of comics. Much impressed!!!!
