Welcome to the Sad and Obsessive Comic Book Library. At over ten years old, this website details one man's comic book collection in exceedingly thorough detail.
Originally founded with the notion of publishing detailed critiques and analyses of each and every book, such a noble intent has never quite been realised. However, the library does contain fairly comprehensive information, including who wrote, illustrated and edited each book. Additionally, each data page is accompanied by a satisfyingly high-quality image of the cover, this being the area in which the library truly excels.
Designed to be as self-explanatory as possible, you are urged to simply start exploring. However, if you would like some brief advice on how to use the site, please see below.
The Search feature is the best place to start. Simply enter the name of an author, artist, or the title of a comic book into the search box above and not only will any relevant matches be presented to you, they will be in alphabetical and chronological order too. To help you locate the word you searched for, it will be highlighted in red.
You can also browse through the complete list of comic books. Upon choosing a title, the individual issues are displayed. Once on a comic book's page, you can click the cover image to see a much larger version of itself. Some comic books even have more than one cover and these are automatically stitched together in the appropriate way.
Finally, if you are on a comic book's page and want to see other books in the same series, clicking the title of the comic book will take you to a page listing all such issues. There is also a "breadcrumb" navigation bar up in the very top left.
