what does this sound like?

hiya all! this page is all about the webshite. which is rather silly, as this webshite is basically all about us. but never mind that. all good (well, ok, nearly all) websites have a page about that site's history. at least, if the history is interesting they do. here goes:

this shite all started when i (michelle harries) received an e-mail from, um, one of my friends (i've forgotten who) telling me to visit a website insanity test and record the score i got. as a laugh. i did that, but what started the webshite was that i looked around the rest of the site and saw that the girl who made it had included some old memories and jokes she had shared with her class mates when she was at school, just so she could remember them better.

i thought "what a great idea" and asked my friends if we could record all our jokes / memories so i could remember them forever. they told me (well, the one's who bothered to reply anyway) "what a great idea, why don't you make a website of it?" caleb even offered to make the webshite for me, so long as i wrote all the information on it, and told him what to put where. i thought about it, and decided that if i was going to make a webshite it would have to include more than just jokes / memories, otherwise it would just be boring. so i made up a form for all my friends to fill in, which told me more about them and what they would like on the webshite. i got almost no response on the form, but everyone told me what they wanted.

now, since i couldn't remember everything they said, caleb and i went ahead and started the site anyway, deciding on the colour scheme and layout. i then sent out a different form both via e-mail, and by hand to those who have no e-mail address. i set a deadline for them to be handed in by, and we went on-line with most of them handed back, adding the rest as they came in.

you can probably see that, as i thought about the shite more, and everyone kept on giving me more ideas, the venture grew into something quite a lot larger than what i had anticipated. but i'm glad it has, as it should be a lot of fun.

happy surfing,
love,
michelle harries
