again? oh well... where the freaks started. well, to be honest it started with tessa and me (though to a lesser extent). it was very strange the way it happened, as when we were in year eight we were both very good, quiet girls who didn't bother anyone and read a lot. tessa had more friends than me, as she had thomas wagstaff, ian davis, ben potts, matthew day, etc. and i had a girl called sarah as my sole friend. of course there's a catch. at the end of year eight tessa and i met each other. then we both changed. we were still fairly good. at least, the teachers still liked us, but we had changed a great deal. we were not really welcomed by, or, to be honest, interested in, the 'in' group in our class, so we made one of our own. it was a complete accident, i assure you, but we seemed to gather around us all the kids our age (and other ages too) that didn't want to be part of the 'in' group, and basically didn't care what they thought. as far as we were concerned they could go fuck themselves. ours was a strange group when compared to some of the others, as we actually cared about the grades we got and tried hard to do well. we steered clear of bad habits like smoking and drugs, and others mistook us for 'boffs' and 'squares'. however, we had a great time, and went our own way. since they soon realized we didn't care what they thought of us, we were never outcast or anything like that from the rest of the kids. strange the way it works, isn't it? that's more or less how the freaks started. oh yes, the school we mainly all went to is the royal latin school, in buckingham, england. we're now older, though not by much, and we're still just the same, only a lot larger. more people came to our school, and we've got many friends out of school too, so we grew and grew. about the one thing all of us have in common is that all of us appreciate people who are themselves, and don't try to be someone they're not. |
